  • Free admission everyday, but the special exhibition is also free on Fridays.
  • See the post-impressionist works.
  • My best advice is to hide in the restroom until closed and everyone goes home. The mummies and exhibits come to life!
  • Friday is free for all ticketed exhibits and they're open til 9PM. Plus free coat check at main entrance!!
  • Winner of Best Museum in ALIVE's 2013 Hot List!
  • You really need about 4 days to truly appreciate - such a diverse museum
  • Panorama of the Monumental Grandeur of the Mississippi Valley exhibit is cool - watching the restoration is first class
  • The Monet exhibit was great, and I really enjoyed the Max Beckmann room. SLAM apparently has the largest Beckmann collection in the world. I will go see it again.
  • Guards will not allow children on shoulders due to the (horrific) possibility of a fall. That would not only seriously hurt child, but would do even more damage to a work than the hand's natural oils.
  • The museum has hands-on art activities and a half-hour family tour through the galleries. The theme changes every month, so be sure make multiple trips! For more insider tips, follow @MoonriseHotel.
  • my faverite thing is the armer & weapon display down stairs
  • Guards were very rude to us. If there is something that needs done please post it so we know not to do that thing. Some interesting stuff and was free so worth a trip.
  • Our neighbor in the park, see European art from the 16th and 17th centuries made during the lifetime of William Shakespeare
  • It is free! The museum has a specialty exhibit every few months and has multiple levels of different types of art. Art Hill right out the front door is perfect for an afternoon picnic!
  • Try the strange looking urinals on the 1st floor. A true piece of art!
  • I love Monets water lilies (:
  • Be sure to check out the Restoring of The Panorama of the Monumental Grandeur of the Mississippi Valley exhibit.
  • Can't wait to see the Monet Exhibit in October!
  • Art in action.
  • Friday admission is free.
