Ritual Coffee Roasters in the Mission district serves a delicious cup of coffee that looks like art. You can get a lot of work done here while listening to great music. It has a tendancy to get a bit loud here, but it adds to the community feel.

  • Go to fourbarrel instead, the baristas are far nicer.
  • This place is all about the uber-baristas, so stick with lattes & cappuccinos. Skip the ice coffee (which is often bitter and full of grinds) and the house coffee.
  • Great coffee and embodies every San Francisco/dot com stereotype. Apple fan boys galore!
  • Don't show up with a PC!
  • Great placo to get work done. Reminds me of Think Coffee loud music, crowded, and nasty bathrooms.
  • Coffee professional Erin Meister wrote, Their focus on the beans rather than the roast or even necessarily the barista were a sort of turning-point for a lot of other coffee companies.
  • Been here twice, both times the macchiato was very bitter. I can't tell if they don't know how to make one or they don't care. Four Barrel is way ahead on taste, either at 16th or Grand on 23rd.
  • Mecca of the mission.
  • The ones who started it all still have a place at the table. Don't be put off by cries of "Too many hipsters!" and "Too many scenesters!" I am neither and find it awesome.
  • Always come here when I visit San Francisco and always love it. A reliable delicious brew.
  • Solid place for coffee in the Mission. Great parklet. No wifi.
  • This popular spot has garnered a roasting reputation of its own with a meticulous and fanatical approach to production and brewing that borders on the religious. Try out the seasonal espresso blends.
  • Try the coffee
  • Gorgeous new space makes this ideal for coffee meetings. No wifi, though.
  • The remodel is finished and Ritual is back to normal hours. Perfect remodel. Hot pink espresso machines are fantastic!
  • Late hours (for SF at least... open til 10) + decaf coffee make this a great place to sit with a book after dinner.
  • Absolutely incredibely tasty and perfect vegan decaf cappucino with almond milk.
  • If you're here in October '13, check out the illustrations on the wall by Briana Kranz while you wait for your coffee. She's amazing.
  • Best before 9am or after 8pm. (It opens at 6am and is open 'till 10pm.) Free wifi; some power.
  • Can't go wrong with any of the drinks, but we recommend the cappuccino or latte.
