Tips

  • After a few delicious beers, you're going to need to eat to continue, enter the Wood-Grilled Burger on a brioche bun with Duke's mayo and house-smoked Tillamook cheddar, add Benton's smoked bacon.
  • Southern Fried Chick-Filet puts the competition to bed! Served on a brioche bun with Boursin cheese, pickles, lettuce & tomato.
  • Excellent house made brews at a very nice price. Vaunted pork rinds were disappointing and their pimento cheese sucks...it's basically queso. Chick sandwich was very tasty bar grub.
  • Come here for an early dinner. Less packed. Best beer prices in Shaw.
  • How long is the wait? More than two hours for a group of four on a recent Friday; 35 minutes for a party of three on a recent Thursday; and no wait for a party of two at 6:30 p.m. on a recent Tuesday.
  • The Bte Noire (collaboration with DC Brau) is packed with flavor and yet still smooth.
  • I had a salad and it was great! Good cider options for the GF
  • Amazing sandwiches. Pulled pork, burger, and grilled cheese are all legit!
  • Great beers, although many of them are served in 12oz glasses.
  • Lamp French Dip and the Brioche Burger were both AMAZING! Good vibes here...
  • Right Proper gets very busy so arrive early to snag a good spot to stand. All the house brewed beers I've tried have been complex but also approachable.
  • It's was very busy, noisy, and a bit slow, but the food was good and the space and clientele were good
  • $4 brews and amazing pork rinds
  • Housemade pork rinds with pimento and kale with bacon slabs are wonderful here. Wash down with the housemade belgian.
  • Yeah - jalapeo blueberry muffins. Some are spicier than others.... Surprise!
  • Great launch! The beer and food were very good, and our service was exceptional. Looking forward to going back!
  • Love the chalk mural!
  • Perfect blend of good food and good beer! Start off with a sour beer and warm pretzel bread. Then move on to a "selfie" and a heavier beer. They also have a production house in Brookland.
  • Wine options in addition to beer
  • Flashback to London visits and their biscuits, jam, and butter. Sooo good!
