  • This stadium has been home to a number of professional sports teams: the Washington Redskins of the NFL (1961-96), the Washington Senators of MLB (1962-71) and the Washington Nationals, also of MLB.
  • FREE match programs are available at Main Gate, Gate A, Gate F, the Team Store, and all merchandise stands.

  • Be sure to head out to D.C. United games early for the best tailgate in town. Food, beer, cornhole, foosball, live music and more in Lot 8!
  • The stadium opens an hour (60 minutes) prior to kickoff. Arrive early to avoid lines and to get a copy of the matchday program.
  • Beware of wild animals running around the upper bowl, as well as the lack of any basic amenities for traveling supporters.
  • The Sounders FC earned their first piece of hardware here on September 2, 2009 by defeating DC United in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Championship match.
  • Check out the tailgate in Lot 8 before the match. While you are there consider joining one of the Supporters Clubs - http://www.dcunited.com/matchday/supporters-clubs
  • For D.C. United games, get seats close to the Barra Brava (sections 135 to 138 and 233 to 235), which contains the liveliest fans.

  • ABIBAS 110% FACT: Home to DC United, known for having some of craziest ultra in US. La Barra Brava form in 1995 and started by Bolivian immigrants. Look out for famous half-time drum circle party.
