Foursquare Tips

  • The old fashioned is amazing. Sit at the bar, the bar dudes are super friendly
  • This downtown spot from the Bar Agricole team has food (including gorgeous charcuterie) all day, with a cognac-focused cocktail list by Thad Vogler. Try the cognac Old Fashioned!
  • Delicious tagliatelle in a chunky meat sauce! Wash it down with a glass of their nice Bordeaux!
  • This Bar Agricole spinoff features the same streamlined cocktail stylings that put the original SOMA spot on the map, with a strong focus on Armagnac, Cognac, & Calvados sourced directly from France.
  • Ask to see Karina's Twin Peaks tattoo.
  • The drinks are the best in the city! All fruit juice is fresh, the bitters are handmade, the ice cubes are hand carved, and they're all classic cocktail recipes. Trou normands are only $5! Great meal.
  • The door is to the left of the main entrance to the building.
  • Great wine list and good cocktails! The food is on the pricey side (even for SF!) for the quality and portions that you get.
  • The FiDi's weekend-ghost-town status means you can usually snag a table at this hip spot, where semolina pancakes with huckleberries, wild-mushroom scrambles, and asparagus-coppa salads.
  • Don't miss the charcuterie.
  • Prices look high, but service is already included in menu price. No line on the receipt for tip.
  • Old fashioned and charcuterie! They have a range of cognac and Armagnac from France. The decoration and the building are great!
  • Come for cocktails but skip the food
  • The food and drinks are pretty good. The service is horrible. I don't need someone hovering over my table, but it can be a long wait for drinks or food. The place is also very loud.
  • Order a bunch of things, a bottle of wine, and share it all. They have nice big tables for groups of about 6-10 people.
  • Ambiance and salmon
  • Upside: charcuterie, old fashioned, daiquiri. Downside: none. This place is amazing.
  • Pork meatballs were excellent. Trendy place with no ingredients from "big corporations." The cola was pretty tasty too if you like it with a lot of ginger.
  • Not suitable for vegetarians.
  • Both the food and the cocktails are so delicious, fresh and with delicate nuances in palate.
