Foursquare Tips

  • The Gringa Madison taco is really outstanding and the Sonoran Shrimp taco is so damn spicy, you'll want to take a cold shower when you finish it.
  • This Eataly-esque Mexican market offers coffee, pastries, and juice in the morning, and a taqueria menu. Cafe El Presidente also features a tortilla-making operation and a bar.
  • Esquites all day.
  • Yikes, very overpriced for what you get! Small portions are ok, but not for these prices. Not worth it.
  • My favorite taco place in the city. These tacos are incredibly delicious. Try the crispy fish, quesadilla with corn and the black bean and sweet potato.
  • Order El Pastor. That is all.
  • Agua fresca is really nice, as are the fried fish tacos.
  • Love Tacombi Nolita but heard iffy things. Honestly & surprisingly loved my Al Pastor & Crispy Fish tacos + the deliciously cheesy corn quesadilla. Cute spot and great for a quickie -- meal that is ;)
  • Make sure you ask the server about portion sizes. Some things are literally twice the size as the item right above it on the menu.
  • Best Tacos in town right now
  • get any special taco - al pastor, fried fish taco, and carnitas all good
  • Guac and al pastor. Wasn't too deep on the baja fish - bit too buttery sweet.
  • Amazing Guac!
  • Omg. Very hard to find authentic Mexican in NYC. Huge space, didn't have to wait on a Friday night. Incredibly attentive wait staff too. Can't wait to go back. Btw, get the corn!!
  • Try the Mezcal Mule and put all their sauces on everything!
  • The new space evokes the traditional taquerias of Mexico City and adds authentic breakfast dishes to the menu, including eggs tinga ($14) and huevos rancheros ($11).
  • fresh watermelon juice with a splash of tequila is the perfect morning pick me up or chill me down.
  • The lobster and fish tacos were delicious. Lobster was a little overpriced though - $17.50 and it has less lobster than a lobster roll. Also got the rice and beans, which were surprisingly dry.
  • Crispy fish taco. Do it. Don't ask questions. Best taco of the night.
  • Cool cafeteria-style feel. Delicious tacos.
