Tips

  • It's not BYOB. Be sure to sit at the bar and get omakase.
  • Best Bites: Yellowtail Jalapeo, Uni, and Lobster (with Garlic Butter). Opt for the omakase to get as many tastes as possible.
  • marilyn mon-roll =imitation crab, avocado, and fire seared scallops topped w and chef's special sauce= awesome
  • Must try the Marilyn mon-roll!
  • This is the only real sushi joint in Forest Hills. Everything else is basically what you get at a catered event. Heck, even Bourdain's website is wrong, saying that Sushi Time is best. Pro tip: Not!
  • Best experience "eat at the sushi bar" more expensive but worth it.
  • Extremely friendly service, free Wi-Fi. Love the To Katsuya. Lunch specials.
  • Omakase, of course, is the star here, but true star is chef Yasu, who makes everyone feel like old time buddies catching up over beer and sake
  • Lunch menu
  • Agedashi tofu, Sushi deluxe nigiri platter w/Uni(from Maine ran out of Cali ones)&Toro tuna(melts in your mouth!) sashimi. Dessert green tea fried ice cream.
  • Get the Agedash tofu, Marilyn monroe special roll, and beef bowl.
  • I have been here a bunch of times and their Omakase is excellent. They offer $60, $80, $100 options.
  • Sushi offf lezizzzzz
  • Best omakase in terms of value
  • I really liked my sushi rolls, but when I asked for the dessert menu they forgot about me.
  • I really like the homemade green iced tea.
  • Horrible!! Don't go expensive with ok sushi plus the service stinks
  • omakase all the way for a delighfully wonderful meal!
  • Had the $60 omakase, was pricy but the taste was very unique. Try it if you want something special.
  • The sushi is so-so, but their service never disappoints. They're very attentive and kind here. I recommend the tempura green tea ice cream after some rolls and sake.
