  • Very good saba, sake, n uni were very fresh, love it! Don't forget to get the sesame ice cream~ ;)
  • Uni is amazing here. Every piece of sushi is well thought out. But simple.
  • Nigiri omakase is awesome here. Good selection and each piece is detailed
  • Best sushi I've ever had. Honestly amazing.
  • Hidden gem. Very small. Well worth it!
  • It's the most authentic edo-mae () style sushi restaurant in San Diego. Food made with fresh ingredients in best quality. Seats are limited but feel cozy and spacious. Worth every dollar you spend.
  • Omakase. The courses all compliment the plate before and after. And of course everything is so fresh. The chef is precise and has chosen quality over quantity.
  • Far and away the best sashimi in town. We sat next to the owner of Sushi Ota and he said this is where he goes when he wants sushi. Can't get a much bigger compliment than that.
  • Authentic Edo era sushi. Rare finds like Golden Eye Snapper, Kohada, and Zuke Tuna. Rare gem.
  • Similar quality as Sushi Ota but much easier to get a table without a horrendous wait. Also you can order sushi by the piece instead of by 2's
  • Check out the daily specials.
  • Date night with Chad. This place is legit!!!!!
  • Niguiri de sanma y de erizo marino.
  • Best sushi in SD, better than Ota. Real small venue, chefs were super nice.
  • Get their chef's special! Heaven on earth!!
  • There is nothing like hanging out with Soichi at the sushi bar and eating copious amounts of fresh San Diego uni with pink Himalayan sea salt.
  • Their sashimi selection is limited, but what they serve is incredibly fresh - in particular the live sweet shrimp
  • Imitation crab is a bad start. Small location in old town.
