Tips

  • Learn a little about Macrobiotics by reading the back of the menu!
  • the delivery guy from souen east village couldnt figure out our door buzzer and told my girlfriend to go fuck herself.
  • Food might be good, and it might be healthy but I'd rather order from a place that doesn't employ a delivery guy who tells me to "go fck myself"
  • For 2, start with shared seitan chips w edamame dip-delicious & filling but not really 'chips' $8. 2 entrees: Grilled salmon with soy ginger recommended $14 for 2 pieces; and macro plate $10.
  • Edamame guacamole is delicious!!
  • Souen specializes in macrobiotic, vegan and vegetarian Japanese food; there is a gluten-free option for almost every dish on the menu.
  • Load up on Asian inspired macrobiotic meals at Souen. These dishes are made without salt or refined sugars and will provide you with the good, clean energy you need to take on the day!
  • Special Home-made Sesame based (Soy & Gulten-free) & Vegetable kelp broth ramen bowl - Goma shio Ramen
  • Seitan Chips w/ organic Edamame Guacamole
  • Everything is delicious. Favorites include edamame guacamole, dumplings, all ramen dishes (especially cold ramen salad and miso ramen soup).
  • Best healthy vegan dessert.
  • Sauteed Garlic greens, maze rice and the black cod. But everything is simple and good.
  • Amazing vegetarian and macrobiotic ramen dishes!
  • The white fish ramen with all the veggies. Had the sesame noodles which I didnt like at all. Seems hit or miss. The healthy without the flavor.
  • GLUTEN FREE
  • Yummy burdock root! Veggie pesto, curry veggie and kuzu stew are my jam!
  • For those who like to dine solo, its an inviting spot; half the customers are always ruminating with a book in front of them. (A real paperback, not a Kindle.)
  • So delicious, fresh and healthy! The macro plate is 2 meals easy.
  • Miso tahini sauce with the corn bread is heaven, tastes like caramel
  • Curry ramen is so good on a cold day
