Tips

  • This fourth location of Sichuan Gourmet offers best combination of blazing hot Sichuan dishes and classy atmosphere in the city. [Eater 38 Member]
  • Order the spicy, authentic dishes like tendon, dan dan noodles, or smoky hot shredded chicken with cayenne. Our critic gave this restaurant four stars.
  • Best Dan Dan noodles ever, love the wontons in spicy chili sauce, hot and sour wonton soup, cumin lamb, Szechuan string beans, chengdu street BBQ, Xiang la fish filet, ma po tofu with pork, etc!
  • Best water boiling fish in Boston !
  • My favorites are Jin Gu fish, Xiang La fish, bamboo shoots with spicy wonder sauce and Kung Pao chicken. The Sichuan style string beans are a great non-spicy item that my 3year old loves
  • Cheng du dumplings, cheng du fish fillet, Dan Dan noodles and ma pao tofu
  • Really great dan dan noodles, scallion pancake with beef, and cumin lamb. The lamb noodles are great too, if heavy.
  • Good scallion pancake. Great ma po tofu with pork. Old Sichuan chicken is flavorful, not as hot as advertised.
  • everything is fantastic!!
  • Get the spicy wontons. Great bang for the buck meal. @christinaphili5
  • Xiang la fish fillets are yum.
  • The chengdu street BBQ is really tasty.
  • Food's alright. Everything's just spicy and oily.
  • A dream for lovers of spicy food. Friendlier service than in Chinatown restaurants. The food comes out incredibly fast. My personal recs: Dan Dan Noodles, wontons in chili sauce, and the Chinese BBQ.
  • Completely full at 5 pm on a Friday! Can get a little tricky to order over the phone. Good ma po tofu and fish with basil. Did not enjoy the fried rice, why the addition of soy sauce?
  • Jingu Fish Filets will make you die and go to heaven!! Amazing.
  • Get the Jin Gu Fish Filets according to Thrillist - "Consists of tender sole swimming in an insanely spicy broth bath. This can-easily-feed-two.
  • Absolutely never again. This place was horrible. Got the "special" fried rice and felt awful afterwards. Also the price for food is ridiculous. Save your money or take it somewhere else.
  • Good food, quite spicy. Check your bill carefully before leaving because they made a mistake with ours for about $20.
  • Decent but the fish stew isn't as good as gourmet dumpling house
