Foursquare Tips

  • Never eaten collard greens? Just get them, and enjoy. Best $3 you'll ever spend.
  • Great atmosphere and great food!
  • Awesome food, the service not so great!!
  • The food is great and the service is great. It's a can't miss place. Call ahead if you are going on a weekend, it's the hot spot in town.
  • Jambalaya is delicious!
  • Blackberry pie, ftw.
  • This is a must do. Old Florida feel, amazing menu. Southern style cooking.
  • Clam chowder....must try!!!
  • Check in special does not exist. It is a scam
  • Built in an old house and off the beaten track... everything we've ever had is excellent... owned by the same family that owns Carigulo's... you just can't go wrong!
  • Addicted to the cheese grits. Worst thing about Owen's is we now can't try any other restaurants in the area. Stuck on Fish Camp :(
  • Ask for Melissa or Caroline. Take off your shoes because their service will rock your socks right off.
  • Best frkkin fried blackberry pies!!!!
  • The catfish was delicious, as were the fish tacos. Make sure to get dessert - it is SO good.
  • It is going to be a wait. Calling ahead was still over 30 minutes. Scallops with BBQ pork is terrific as is the fried catfish with some of the best and creamiest grits. And make room for the desserts
  • Shrimp, sausage and grits. Catfish, collards and soft shelled crabs. All were wonderful.
  • Didn't love the 90-minute wait for a table - but what a scene! Missed a few places on my 1st time to Sarasota but glad I got here, so unique. And the service was great, along with the food & beers
  • Went here for my birthday and almost left bc the wait was so long but discovered a secret garden in the back with apps and live music! So cool!
  • Awesome, funky place. Had oysters and beer in the garden with live music. Had Wahoo with best collard greens ever. Will be back when in town!
  • Great fish!
