Foursquare Tips

  • Absolutely unreal, one of the best Korean meals I've had in a long time. Come with a date, share 5-6 dishes. The stars: fried chicken and pork belly & kimchi.
  • This is my favorite Korean restaurant in the city. Jang jo rim buttered rice, Beef tartare, Ssam and Braised Chicken are my recommendations.
  • One of the best openings of 2015. Jang Jo Rim ("buttered rice" with beef and eggs), truffled seafood broth with crispy rice, and honey butter chips. Great value, takes reservations.
  • Everything is great, but make sure to get the pork belly/kimchi dish and their incredible tapioca fried chicken.
  • Korean joint Oiji, inspired by chips that started a craze in Seoulas in, bags sold on eBaydouses paper-thin potato in honey, butter, and a dash of cayenne pepper (thats them to the right).
  • The standout dishes are fried chicken and jang jo rim. Everything is really rich.
  • The Jang Jo Rim is rich, delicious and so buttery!
  • Honey chips
  • Oiji serves modern Korean plates that retain the flavors of the original. Standouts include the Jang Jo Rim, Oxtail with Root Vegetables, and the Ssam Platter for 2.
  • Scallop dish is omg. Ssam for two is fun; French cab franc was a great pairing reco from our friendly waiter. He was great, and this place is also great if you like cocktails.
  • Most exciting restaurant in the east side!!!
  • The cocktails and honey & butter chips were great but so so $$$
  • The warm, house-made butter chips are stellar bookends to your meal at Oiji. Get them as is for a pre-dinner snack, or have them with vanilla ice cream for a salty/sweet, hot/cold dessert.
  • Love the concept korean tapas. You should definitely try: Dumplings, Truffle seafood and Honey Butter chips (don't leave this place without trying those chips, trust me!)
  • The squid was fantastic!
  • Legit kimchi. Wasn't wowed by the noodles, but will definitely be back to try out the honey chip ice cream for myself.
  • go here, and order as many plates as possible! it's all fantastic, and yes, the honey butter chips really are as good as everyone talks them up to be (and don't worry about adding the ice cream)
  • The Honey Butter Chips with Vanilla IceCream are Awesome... Morel Mushroom Salad ... Wow
  • Korean tapas style. Everything was great! Loved the food! But the rice wine (makgeolli) came in a warm cup. Would've been better in an chilled glass like other Korean places do.
  • Truffle seafood broth was so good, beef tartare had lots of great flavors
