Tips

  • Great pesto shrimp
  • You know that saying, patience is a virtue? Expect to test that saying when you lunch here. It's busy as hell on most days, but the food is worth the wait.
  • Not sure why they labeled this French restaurant. It's mostly plate lunches and seafood. Very delicious.
  • If you don't like going to Nico's for lunch because it's too crowded, try going for breakfast. The fish & eggs and fish omelette are both super good, and their loco mocos are the best I've ever had...
  • Furikake Ahi and Loco Moco are pretty good. Fish & chips plate is probably the worst I've had on the island. Poke is so-so; much better at fresh catch
  • Garlic pesto shrimp is ok. The blackened fish 'which is better. Really tasty. Highly recommend this. The Hoisin BBQ chicken is good too. Lots of chicken at a great price
  • Try the Opah With Scallops Mousse Over Mixed Greens - Ordered the special, wow! Delicious.
  • Amazing seafood, awesome outdoor seating, great drinks, fast service, friendly staff. The freshest of fish, it's located in the same building as the actual market. Seared Ahi Tuna Steak is superb!
  • Omg, their blackened fish 'wich sandwich is DA BOMB!!!! I want another!
  • Fish and chips are amazing!!!!!
  • The freshest seafood you will find in town.
  • Furikakeahi is sooo good! Come early to get a table by the water. Friday's they have live music & Hawaiian plates :)
  • Try the Furukake Pan Seared Ahi - #ono definitely my #goto
  • The new Nico's is bigger and better! We recommend the poisson cru, a Tahitian version of poke marinated in lime juice and coconut milk. It's so ono! -Dining, April 2012
  • Save money by ordering the left over fish parts! The flippers and gills are the most swallowable!
  • Change never tasted so good!! Commit to the #HIEatLocal Challenge at www.KanuHawaii.org!! Also, get biodegradable to-go boxes on request! Lots of local & sustainable offerings! Yes: Guy Fieri ate here
  • I always get the catch of the day. Freshest seafood anywhere.
  • Try daily specials
  • The furikake ahi is the traditional pick, but the daily specials are always worth a try.
  • Great food. Happy hour is a great deal. Tuna was awesome.
