Foursquare Tips

  • Best spring rolls I have ever had in my life. Even if you're a meat eater, opt for the veggie ones.
  • Go for the pork belly & shoulder rice bowl. Beef salad is on point too. You can skip the Sriacha-chelada beer.
  • Pho Ga and sauted greens of the day, is the only way. Mau is the sister restaurant to SOMA gem Tin on 5th and Howard.
  • Saturday lunch vibe works for little ones. Big portions, prepare to share!
  • Slightly adventurous? Like it fishy? Get the shrimpy, tomatoey bun rieu. This traditional broth is a powerful and addicting combination that you'll be hard-pressed to find on most menus.
  • Excellent chili sauce and XO sauce!
  • Hue rolls and greens of the day!
  • Lots of good vegetarian options!
  • If you go get the salted lemonade (sans the soda water) with a glass of cava and mix. Mmmmmm
  • Ask for the homemade siracha sauce. Noodle bowls are decent but overpriced. The wait staff are rookies so expect spotty service for awhile. Thanh Tam II and Sunflower are good alternatives nearby
  • I liked the chicken garlic pho.. very yummy. I like pho spicy! They have a special spicy sauce to add on top.
  • For one or two people, 7:30pm on a Wednesday night you can walk right in! Food was great, the servers work hard and a very pleasant at the same time. I'll certainly come back!
  • Cha gio. These crispy fried spring rolls are so good!
  • If you like spicy soups the Bun Bo Hue is amazing!
  • Unlike any Vietnamese Restaraunt I've ever been to -- BO KHU is their best hot noodle soup and don't forget to get the coconut drink!
  • Ask for the vegetarian spring rolls with fish sauce, great option! Avoid the Pho G though, very plain taste.
  • ask for their version of the michelada (an off men item.) Stay spicy!
  • Ask for the check early because you will have to remind them.
  • This place is great! Hands down, the best Vietnamese for a couple miles around. Whoever suggested "alternatives" is keh-razy. Also - try the lemongrass chicken (they also have tofu) - incredible.
  • Try the quail. You're welcome.
