Tips

  • Ordering a grape ape while you're drunk is like letting an actual ape punch you in the face, but in a GOOD way.
  • Voted by City Pages as having the Best Chili in the 2010 Best of the Twin Cities issue. The Loon serves five types of chili, each unique and delicious in its own way.
  • Bartender Brice does right by you. Best old fashioned I've had in a while!
  • Got to have the grape ape!
  • Grape Apes are the best!
  • Go to the Loon for the southwest eggrolls and a grape ape
  • Go to the loon and have 3 grape apes.
  • Bathrooms smell terrible and are gross
  • Something for almost everyone. I recommend the nachos with the Pecos River Red chili.
  • The dragon wings are very good; however, the beer selection is turrible.
  • The Loon is a good happy hour spot after work with good drinks and some of the best boneless buffalo wings I've ever had!
  • Pecos River Red is the classic, but they are also home to the Grape Ape shot, try it, you'll like it!
  • Best turkey burger I've ever had...fries are awesome too
  • If you need it, ask for the handicapped entrance and restrooms. Join the fun!
  • Pecos chili is awesome!!!!! No beans and has a fantastic flavor!!
  • The chicken ceasar wrap was quite good.
  • Always good for before/after games
  • Make sure to get the Diablo Chili, and when you do, make sure you save some toast to wipe up the last of the chili.
  • On Fridays The Brisket Bar B Q Sandwich is not on the menu, but it should be on your plate.
  • You can't beat the Loon Cafe Pecos River Red chili on a cold winter night! Take a cup to go and watch the Holidazzle Parade!
