Tips

  • Go early to get your seat for Sunday fried chicken. We hung out at the bar for an hour and ate there. Everything was terrific.
  • OMG! OMG! This is my new favorite place to eat in Seattle! You must try the Jerk Quail...I highly recommend it.
  • Fried chicken Sundays and Brisket Fridays are one hella homecoming
  • Rated the best new resto in Seattle. Had brunch and the pork cutlet sandwich was awesome. Really good pimento as well. Cut them some slack Foursquarers!
  • Lives up to the hype - worth the wait and just work in some time to get stuff done or go for a cocktail. A little speak easy beside it would make a killing!!!
  • Easy comforts like biscuits and pimento cheese segue to salads made with swamp cabbage and pickled strawberries, oxtails in consomme and chitterlings jeweled with carrots and rice.
  • Nothing flashy from the outside, but amazing Southern food! Mac & Cheese is a must on Thursday nights, otherwise you cant go wrong with some biscuits and catfish with grits. Good cocktails too!
  • The pig ears and the biscuit were my favorite
  • Shrimp and grits on lunch menu is yummy.
  • This is an extremely loud room, and they don't take reservations, but the food, drinks, and service are all good. I had the fried chicken - Sundays only - and partner had a big pork chop.
  • cornbread, braised carrots, fried chicken, brisket, pork loin, peach cobbler, pimento cheese, cocktails, wine
  • Try the Reconnaisance cocktail, biscuits, fried pig ears, charred okra, and if you're there on Sunday, the fried chicken! Yumyumyummmm. Fyi this is a gratiuity-included restaurant. Kudos!
  • Biscuits > cornbread. Both good.
  • Everything was quite delicious but pretty small dishes
  • The food was amazing and the staff was on point. This restaurant might be one of the talks of Seattle in a year or two. Its that good! Try the 'shrimp & grits' and the collard greens.
  • Named by Eater as America's next great southern restaurant in July 2017.
  • Tiny, expensive portions. Rude staff. The antithesis of what I want from Southern food. Avoid.
  • Fried chicken dinner was goodmaybe not great?but Id love to try other menu options one day
  • Biscuit, pork chop and the southern rice!
  • Chicken fried steak for brunch
