Tips
- The fries have such a delicious curry sauce!
- With the pedigree and direction of Kata Robata's Manabu Horiuchi and former Cove chef Jean-Philippe Gaston, this Japanese gastro-pub in Midtown is poised to be the next hot spot for fall.
- Not your typical Japanese place
- Went for $5 Ramen! Very good! Had the tonkotsu Ramen, highly recommended!
- Come here for happy hour!
- The food was delcious! Everything we tried was great. We came at lunch and it was practically empty. Service was polite.
- Chef Philippe Gaston, his mentor and former employer, Manabu Horiuchi, for a fun & scrumptious take on the Izakaya an informal Japanese drinking establishment that serves food to accompany drinks.
- Coming in on a Sunday? Try The South: collard greens, fried egg, and pork belly on a bun. Also the musubi bibimbap (not pictured)!
- Fantastic service.
- Best sashimi ever!
- Try the Korean chicken wings and the grilled octopus. From the raw menu: scallops with strawberries, snapper, and ceviche.
- Avoid the wait, find a seat at the bar, and get Noah as your bartender. He knows his stuff and is just a cool dude.
- The bbq wings, street corn, and octopus were quite delicious and offered an interesting take on traditional Japanese dishes.
- Outstanding drinks and creative food. Both raw and cooked tapas style dishes are great. Octopus was particularly good. Service still a little spotty.
- Make sure you try the street corn!
- It's tapas style so bring a big group and sample as much as you can!
- Tiger's.. Perfect coctail, a bit bitter with the green chillies in it and also lime, I loved it! And all the food we got, all were sooo tasty. Grilled oyster, homemade sausage, shripm&duck dumplings..
