Tips

  • try the chicken tikka and Nan.
  • The Mango Lassi is amazing.
  • Best Northern Indian food this side of Murray Hill. Lamb chops are excellent, love the tamarind sauce, dahl is good, samosas are perfect. Great service too. No wonder it's packed.
  • One of the better Indian joints in the neighborhood, though it can run on the pricey side. Tikka masala is solid, as are the mango lassis. Spinach soup is better than you'd expect.
  • Try the rice pudding. Best Indian dessert ever.
  • If the Vindaloo seems too mild, order the Bhuna Ghost "spicy."
  • Name changed: Manhattan Valley
  • great lunch buffet!!!
  • Huge menu!
  • Very good Northern Indian cuisine in a neighborhood you wouldn't expect. If you're into goat, you have to do the goat curry. loved the Indus Valley dal as well
  • We love the palak paneer!
  • Saturday lunch buffet!
  • Indiano Sensacional!
  • The staff was very rude. They made a big deal when I asked to be seated closer to the window because I was only one person and the table was for 4. Yet there were lots of empty tables everywhere ..
  • The Lasooni Gobhi is the best appetizer on the menu!
  • There's lots of vegetarian options on the wkd lunch buffets. It's always delicious. I've now also enjoyed dinner off the menu. Vegetarian jalfreezi was excellent! It's mild though, so add some heat.
  • Lamb Vindaloo is exceptional (spicy, but perfectly balanced with a bit of yogurt sauce and nan).
  • The cauliflower appetizer is amazing!!!!
  • The chicken tika-masala is to die for.
  • Beautiful decor and atmosphere, from the water cups to table settings and bar. This is my go-to spot for Indian food on the upper west side.
