Tips

  • Imperial Lamian is trending this week in Chicago! Stop by this dim sum restaurant for a bowl of la mian and a variety of delicious dumplings.
  • La main a best of chicago
  • Had the Char Siu and wonton ramen and an extra order of Shanghai xiaolongbao. The noodle tasted fresh, the broth clean, the bok choi tender, but the all thing lacked taste. All very flat.
  • Sweet and sour pork is the best Ive had. Great way to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
  • Beef brisket lamien, vegetable basket, and cantonese eggplant with Hainan rice were all excellent dishes! The lamien is also super legit, we saw the chef whacking the dough in front of us!
  • Rainbow dumplings
  • Service is the best. Beef La mian is good and the steak is special bc its like western style in Chinese sauce. Egg tart recommended. Szechuan Wontons are perfect!
  • This is what it is known for as the Top Dumpling place in Chicago. The flavors are spot on and snow pea leaves were terrific. The staff will not let you down and are helpful with suggestions.
  • Tried the xiao long bao combo and really really good noodle soup
  • Love the dessert menu
  • Egg Tart (Baked Pastry Crust, Egg Custard)
  • Shrimp Lamian (Shrimp broth, shrimp, soy egg, pork belly, bean sprouts, snow pea leaves)
  • White Tiger (Suntory Whisky Toki, House made Cashew Syrup)
  • Shanghai XLB all the way. They were so good we ordered them twice!
  • The Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings are on point.
  • Shanghai chicken was a disappointment..
  • Get the Shanghai soup dumplings - so good! Also, the jasmine smoked ribs are AMAZING.
  • Really enjoyed the soup dumplings but the radish cake stir fry was especially good
  • Hainanese chicken: rice was tasty but a bit dry
  • Get a table next to the open kitchen and watch noodles being pulled by hand.
