Tips

  • Everything is delicious especially since its all free range and grass fed beef, pork and chicken but my fav is the Brisket and Blue Cheese and Bacon Potato Salad! :)...
  • When Horse Thief first opened, its sides skewed more upmarket (bleu cheese in the potato salad, for instance), but now they veer toward traditional, and the results are more convincing.
  • Lean and peppery, the oak-smoked meat comes adorned with raw onions, pickles and white bread, laid out on a sheet of brown butcher paper and ready for its Instagram close-up.
  • The brisket and pulled pork sandwiches are delicious, also the BBQ sauce and they have a great selection of beers
  • Pulled pork sandwich is delicious. The sides were lacking, especially the undercooked baked beans.
  • Brisket. Brisket. Brisket.
  • Bacon&bluecheese potato salad
  • Try the $2 lemonade or an Arnold Palmer :)
  • Not bad for the price!
  • Best brisket in LA.
  • Plastic fork tender brisket and insane pulled pork. Menu items start getting 86'd by 1, so get there early (erlay! erlay!)
  • Fantastic BBQ in LA! The Mac & Cheese and pulled pork are musts. Try to get there before noon to avoid longer lines
  • Pulled pork plate with coleslaw and beans! Being able to sit outside, drink a beer and listen to music doesnt hurt either.
  • The fries! Yumm! So perfect. Crispy outside, mushy hot inside.
  • Delicious brisket. If you happen to be in the area, give it a try. Parking is ridiculously expensive though.
  • Brisket, ribs and crispy chicken sandwich and the sides are good.
  • Brisket and mac n cheese - heaven on a plate.. best BBQ yet
  • Delicious BBQ! Great portion sizes. The macaroni is a must for a side dish.
  • Sweet potato casserole was good. Baked beans and brisket... I'd stay away. Maybe it's because I caught them at the end of a slow night but honestly the brisket tasted like cardboard, dry and bland.
  • Can't speak to their barbecue, but they have a great mini beer garden vibe in their outdoor seating area.
