  • *Happy Hour* $1 oysters on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 - 7pm. Get here before 4:30 so you can get seated before the rush.
  • One of my favorite places in SF.
  • Nothing like a hot clam chowder...it's #99 on 7x7's Big Eat SF 2010.
  • Go at sunset and you have front row seats to see the LED light show on the Bay Bridge
  • Happy Hour: M+Th, 57pm, $1 Oysters. Hog Island Oyster Co. gets their oysters from their very own farm on Tomales Bay. The line can get long, but it's very fast once you sit down.
  • Be prepared to wait for a table and then consume some of the freshest oysters around. Watching the pros shucking oysters is something magical.
  • Oysters and beer....hmm!!! If you think oysters are all the same, order Oyster Bar Mix and you'll find out!
  • 7x7's Big Eat 2012 says a dozen sweetwater oysters are delicious. Yum!
  • kumomotos ftw.
  • Try the Clam Chowder
  • Tarragon and oyster stew highly recommended
  • How can you be at the foot of Market Street and not stop in for a few Tomales Bay oysters? Unless you're ducking into The Slanted Door (also in the Ferry Building), how could you not?
  • Meet the crew for $1 oysters on Mondays and Thursdays between 5 - 7.
  • The best oyster i've ever tried in my life. So fresh, yummy, sour and sweet. Goes well with Riesling!
  • Much more spacious since the remodel. Sad to see Happy Hour has stopped! Grab a table outside with a bay view and drown your sorrows in oysters.
  • You eat both oysters and grilled cheese at Hog Island! Why? Because their grilled cheese sandwich is stupid-good, featuring buttery, toasty bread, three kinds of cheesed plus house made pickles.
  • Yummmm the siddhartha
  • Hog Island is the epicenter for some of the best-tasting raw oysters in the world. To eat them cooked would be like turning down a supermodels sultry invitation back to her place.
  • Get the oyster sampler, minuet is fabulous but slightly eclipsed by the cocktail sauce, and watch out for the horseradish - holy hell don't inhale - freshest oysters possible
  • great place with nice options of wine & beer, besides the awesome oysters. a must go.
