Foursquare Tips

  • Voted Best Neighborhood Cafe (MPLS) by City Pages in 2012! Hazel's retains the feeling of a small-town diner with enough contemporary touches to make it a perfect fit for a cozy urban neighborhood.
  • Come for breakfast; try the biscuits and gravy.
  • Closest thing to authentic Swedish meatballs this side of the Atlantic. But the real jewel is the salmon (when they have it)!
  • Biscuit and gravy breakfast will make you want to go back to bed! Nom Nom Nom
  • The bread pudding is amazing!
  • Had The Traveler and it was fantastic! Also the owner is a great guy and former DECA Alumni!
  • Protein-up for the day with dishes like the Brisket Hash and Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs...
  • Try the Eggs Benedict - Brunch meets beautiful food.
  • The French toast incredibly rich and tastes even better than it looks.
  • Great food, atmosphere, and priced right. My new go-to lunch spot. Also carry Crispin Honey Crisp!
  • Their menu of comfort foods with modern twists reflects its intergenerational patrons, a mix of old-timers and young families. They call its formula "one part grandma, one part grandson."
  • Cajun fried pickles are a MUST try...Awesome!!
  • Every neighborhood deserves a joint like this. Great value, best Reuben I've had in awhile and the family loved the Aubuchon and wild rice soup.
  • Amazing sweet potato fries...and everything else!
  • Run, don't walk to get Jeans's Mean Fried Egg sandwich. It is incredible.
  • Portion sizes are smaller than average but that can be good or bad depending on appetite. Food was great!
  • Surprisingly decent tap beer selection, the have Fulton IPA!
  • Hungry but healthy? Blacksmith Salad + a single slider. Lovely.
  • Try the "turkey commercial". Muy delicioso. Just like ma used to make.
  • Outstanding service. Run by two of the nicest guys(brothers) Ive encountered in the restaurant business. One of brothers whipped up a Whole30 compliant meal and it wasnt on the menu!
