Foursquare Tips

  • Great little lunch spot. Not cheap, but such good ingredients, it's worth it. Love the ambience, too. Quirky.
  • Best biscuits n gravy in KC.
  • One of the best breakfast spots in KC. Try EVERYTHING!
  • Make sure you introduce yourself to the mayor.
  • Guy Fieri's most recent visit to KC brought him to this soup n sandwich joint in Columbus Park. Here, he watched the husband-wife team put twists on authentic lunch and brunch favorites.
  • "Opt for a half-order ($4)" of biscuits and gravy and "dredge your Gillis Breakfast Sandwich ($7) in the rich gravy studded with pork sausage" from a local butcher. Formica tables.
  • Try the breakfast burrito. New and insanely delicious.
  • Can't go wrong with the breakfast sandwich! #yum
  • Try the Goat Cheese & Butternut Squash Sandwich - Best sandwich I've had in awhile.
  • Yea great food here
  • I you get the Happy Gillis breakfast sandwich, ask for some gravy and dip it in. 10x better than either on their own, and that says a lot since it's all good food.
  • Lovely, whimsical, and very tasty!
  • The bacon is amazing.
  • Must have for breakfast a Keller-esque BLT. It's the best BLT on earth. Really you can go wrong with anything on the menu. It's also a great place just to hang out!
  • Crab roll and the apple and brie grilled cheese were fantastic. Loved the locally made coffee mugs!
  • Breakfast sandwich, excellent coffee too
  • Had the chicken torta and was disappointed as it was mostly dark meat chicken and had some fat and skin in the mix. Disappointed since everyone else loves this place.
  • Was in town for the weekend and wanted something off the beaten path. This place is amazing. Biscuits and Gravy were so good, I went back the next day for seconds.
  • Had their Biscuit French Toast, Everything Salmon, and the Chicken Torta sandwich....it was all awesome...definitely going back.
  • Loved the home made kimchi
