- Best sushi value in the city. They have ramen!
- 2010 Best of Phoenix Winner: Best Sushi! Fresh with must-haves like abalone, ankimo (monkfish liver), or aji (Spanish mackerel). Order enough goodies and you might even get your very own sushi boat.
- freshest fish in town
- Pay close attention to the board that lists daily specials and be sure to ask for translations and recommendations because this is where things get really interesting.
- Go on Thurs when they get the fresh fish delivered. Try the pickled wasabi & bring your own Sake as they are BYOB.

- just ask Koji-San to make whatever he wants. you will never regret it, just make sure it comes with FRESH wasabi (its awesome). also: sweet republic ice cream!
- Splurge and just tell them to "bring it till you can't take no more!"
- The sushi at this humble neighborhood eatery is quite impressive -- think oversized slabs of extremely fresh aji, silky sake, and buttery hamachi, elegantly draped over compact rice balls.
- Try the Okonomiyaki - It pays to be mayor... appetizer size okonomiyaki. Wowow.
- Try the Toro - 4 days after arrival, the oil oozes and glistens. This is toro nirvana.
- Best sushi in town I believe. When Ayako of Tokyo closed down at the Biltmore I thought I'd never find a suitable replacement. An incredible menu with plenty of fresh fish available. UCC Coffee rocks!
- Delish and local. It's also BYOB here. The sushi rolls are super fresh, the Vegas is my favorite.
- The miso dressing is the best for your salad. Also, make a point to sit at the sushi bar, great conversation opportunities and new friendships waiting for you there!
- The best Philadelphia roll I've ever had!
- Never hurts to ask for things not on the menu. I asked for takoyaki each time I went in and now they have it! Give it a try!
- If they have a special called "Scallop Edamame," don't miss it!
- order anything with the large white Japanese noodles and you won't be disappointed. best noodles in town.
- Some of the best sushi in town! Do yourself a favor and try it!
