Foursquare Tips

  • With a new sushi chef Yoya Takahashi at the helm of the omakase counter, the level of sushi gets a major upgrade from the more roll-centric offerings on the menu (that are popular with celebrities).
  • On the updated menu, its rolls now share the spotlight with dishes like salmon crudo and washugyu tataki (with thyme and wasabi). Miss the full roll-odex? Ask a server for the original 60-deep menu.
  • Are you rich/famous? Celebrities RSVP here!
  • On Food Network's Giada's Weekend Getaways, host Giada DeLaurentiis samples sushi and fresh seafood at Hamasaku Restaurant, in Los Angeles, CA. Find more tips at Food Network Local.
  • Great sushi, imaginative rolls named after celebs who frequent. Try the one named after Charlize Theron. To die for! It can be annoying since some go there to see and be seen.
  • Not super impressed with nigiri =(
  • This place is absolutely amazing. The beacon and the fox hand rolls are probably the best I've ever had. The DJ spider cut roll was also fantastic.
  • The best rolls are here! Dont forget to order bluefin tuna sashimi and white salmon sashimi
  • Best rolls out there! Make sure to try the baked crab hand rolls! Alle
  • Sushi rolls are insane!
  • Great and varied choices for sushi rolls. Omakase is tough to beat though
  • Kinnedai white ponzu nigiri platter cajun crab roll
  • The gyoza is great and their spicy tuna crispy rice is the best I've ever had!The Lourd roll and the Green Dragon roll are also great. And for dessert, I highly recommend the green tea affogatto.
  • Good sushi, but a bit expensive.
  • While this corner strip mall restaurant still offers flashy, over-the-top rolls for celebrity types, the real gem is the omakase, chock full of interesting fish and based on warm, well-seasoned rice.
  • Pricey but among the best sushi joints in the Southland.
  • Yummy sushi
  • Bomb ass sushi. Golden eye snapper, wasabi toro, and yellowtail paper X2
  • It's fine not worth going out of your way for. If you like unique rolls you'll enjoy it.
  • Show respect to the fish.
