Tips

  • Tasty pub food. Friendly service. Cozy atmosphere.
  • Delicious food - definitely recommend the pithivier...
  • Go early or book in advance - we were lucky to grab a table at 6pm. Rose veal Wellington was absolutely gorgeous and the steak pie with marrow bone resplendent in the centre was amazing too!
  • The dive bar is excellently run and open Tuesday to Saturday
  • Nice goat!
  • One of the best gastropubs around - rib of beef, chips and mustard won't get much better than this in London
  • We sat at the bar, I had the lamb neck in barley - very nice.....but they did burn my lunch friend's toast mmm!
  • The steak/rib/cow for two is always amazing.
  • GQS succeeds in cooking up simple but tasty British food that changes with the seasons. The place is simply decorated, the staff is fairly knowledgeable and the food is pretty good.
  • The chicken pie is pretty huge, they recommend it for two people but three or four would probably be better so you could enjoy drinks and other dishes
  • Great service and a warm welcome.
  • Modern delivery of British cuisine
  • Dont leave without trying the seven-hour lamb shoulder and gratin dauphinoise for three. You wont regret it.
  • Definitely, try the Wellington! Expensive but really really really good. High quality for a good price. Make a reservation for it's always very busy.
  • Great service/staff.
  • Restaurant upstairs and bar downstairs - lots of choice for wine
  • Bloody Mary. baked egg, pumpkin, chickpeas and chermoula
  • The plates for 2+ are great.
  • The savoury pie and family style dishes are amazing
  • Don't got there without reservation unless you are happy to eat at the counter (which is great anyway). Good tasty food, had the crab custard (yummy), Parma ham and figs and the 7 hour lamb, delicious
