Foursquare Tips

  • Kind of an under-the-radar pick, but the burger here is one of the best I've had in NYC. Also, if you don't order the Scotch Egg I'm going to come down and punch you in the face. It's delicious.
  • The women look like they may be jewelry designers and are overheard pronouncing Kenya Keen-ya; the men are almost universally floppy-haired and insist on wearing their plaid scarves through dinner.
  • People! Good scotch eggs are hard to come by. Egg wrapped in sausage (what?!) and then deep fried (!!!), served with killer spicy mustard.
  • You are near the heart of the city beautiful. Indulge in a Scotch egg, some potpie, a salad, the room.
  • We loved this place for dinner. The ambiance is hip and cozy, and the food is inventive and seasonal. We can't wait to check it out for brunch; the menu looks divine!
  • locavore, stoke, your core, shimmering white, him n' her, quite, sturdy masonry, flirty, stately, fashionista, ration, feaster, obscure corner, lox, cure, bore her, root vegetable, hoot, estimable
  • One of the VF Creative team's favorite new restaurants. Be sure to say hey to the chef Nick and order Celery Root Pot Pie.
  • The green curry monkfish was divine. Order the kale Caesar salad and the poached egg for appetizers. Loved the radish amuse bouche!
  • Krispy kale! Cauliflower! Beet crumble! Try it all - you won't be disappointed!
  • Perfect scotch egg
  • If you like menus that say things like "Ginger macerated strawberries" and "lemon breadcrumbs," this is the farm-to-table spot for you. My friend had the asparagus frittata which looks like this.
  • A great place to come for either brunch or dinner if you're looking for a British-skewed menu that's a bit higher end and healthy. We LOVE the Scotch Egg.
  • Avocado toast + spicy eggs = simple but delicious brunch
  • Tonight was the incredible pork pie + ridiculously good scallops. The food here is amazing.
  • An upper tier burger with excellent duck fat fries. Order it without tomato to avoid burger & bun slippage.
  • Only tip you need: get the warm and delicious donut dessert.
  • I'm obsessed w/farm-to-table spots & this one is fab. Great atmosphere. Once you get there (it's out of the way) try the burger (medium not well) but don't splurge on truffles fries. Duck fat is enuff
  • Cash only!!!!!!
  • Meals here start, aptly enough, with a gratis plate of radishes. Dishes are lighter and more vegetarian-friendly than your average gastropub. Case in point: sweet pea pot pie.
  • Food is delish but general vibe is off putting. - makes you feel like you're a nerd in middle school
