Tips

  • James Joyce was here! Great pub with good food, drink and service. Great history and atmosphere
  • Ulysses, by James Joyce: Would you like a gorgonzola cheese sandwich and a glass of burgundy? Leopold Bloom would.
  • Irish stew is nice!
  • Have the Oysters and Guinness!
  • Famous literary bar. James Joyce drank here. Only drank here so I cant comment about the food. Nice place to have beers with friends.
  • Theyve got a wine of the month club, so maybe Leopold Bloom was onto something ordering a Burgundy here.
  • Traditional Irish stew is great
  • Bon accueil. La terrasse est bien pour prendre un caf et lire un livre. Le caf est un peu coteux.
  • The Staff are superb, the surroundings are pleasant and the Guinness is outstanding!
  • Great food
  • Much better if you can get a seat up at the front door for a bit of atmosphere. Go down the back if you want a quieter spot.

  • Friendly service. Small but there is a side room and outdoor seating.
