  • Very old-fashioned, therefore cash-only.
  • Try the pork skins, won't find them at any other local barbecue joint.
  • Clyde Coopers is the truth. Best bbq joint in Raleigh.
  • There is no better BBQ spot in Raleigh. Don't let anybody tell you differently. This stuff is real, authentic, and AMAZING.
  • Great BBQ and even better hushpuppies. Our favorite in Raleigh.
  • Great Big Fan
  • The chicken and pork will melt in your mouth. So good. Cash only.
  • Great BBQ. Cash only. Limited selection of sides.
  • Closes at 6 and Cash Only?
  • According to locals, to make North Carolina BBQ authentic, you have to smother it in vinegar and Texas Pete's. It's a totally different style, but they're right, it's delicious.
  • The most authentic BBQ in town. I tell guests to skip The Pit and just come here. Better prices, better pork, better tradition.
  • Hush pups, pork skins, lemonade, coleslaw are all amazing. The ribs may be the best I've ever had. And don't forget to have desert!
  • Cash only but awesome prices!
  • Excellent BBQ, and really cheap prices, but they only take cash so come prepared.
  • Chopped tray is your best bet.
  • Thrillist Top BBQ List: "What you're getting: Chopped pork, hush puppies, pork rinds" A heaping plate of Carolina pork w/delicious, sweet hush puppies and crispy pork rinds (note: relocating soon)
  • Hush puppies were the only thing worth eating. Would have preferred road kill over this so called BBQ.
  • Barbecue is great and love their hush puppies
  • Amazing atmosphere and classic eastern-NC-style BBQ and accompaniments!
  • New coopers
