Tips

  • The lack of windows, huge curved wooden bar, slick tufted booths and symbols emblazoned on everything feel like Don Drapers supper club meets illuminati secret society.
  • Gorgeous space, extremely laid back, with amazing cocktails by Paul McGee. Great approachable but thoughtful menu.
  • The Cherry Circle Room is the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel's restaurant and helmed by Chef Peter Coenen (of The Gage) and Paul McGee (of Lost Lake and Three Dots and a Dash).
  • Good for a night cap - the bartenders are helpful and friendly. Weekend brunch was painfully slow. The food was good but lots of young service help make it feel like amateur hour.
  • Cool plate design
  • One of the darkest restaurants Ive been to; love the jazz background music
  • Very retro-as in Don Draper & his crew may come any moment. Beautifully restored, like the rest of the Chicago Athletic Association.Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Great for date nights. Eclectic menu.
  • Whiskey, chateaubriand, and French onion soup.
  • Maravillosa la sopa de cebolla!
  • Delicioso, es un must!! Algo escondido , pero muy rico!
  • Waffle
  • The Egg Benedict is good, and you can also change the Pork belly to bacon.
  • Came for the table side drink cart. Enjoyed the fois gras, caesar, and the duck along the way.
  • Ordered the beef tartare with gouda (wow!), duck entree, brussel sprouts slaw & chocolate mint dessert (yum!). If you sit at the bar, trust the bartender to make something for you. Great mixologists!
  • Delicious craft cocktails, the duck hash was excellent. The service was great.
  • Good food must see the building though
  • Classy joint. The room itself is gorgeous, the cocktails are delicious, and they have some badass matchbooks at the front.
  • King wild salmon in the picture. Really good, tasty, well cooked, funny part is eating fish with regular cutlery, not the appropriate for fish. But, the place it is a yes! Love it!!!!
  • Halcyon Ros ($14). "Delicate but with enough funk to let you know you are still dealing with Cab Franc. Get it while you can, as only 40 cases were produced," says sommelier Andrew Algren.
  • The food and drinks were on point; beautiful, creative, delicious. The service was outstanding. Professional, knowledgeable, with the ability to pick up on a fun crowd (ergo not stuffy). A+
