Foursquare Tips

  • Love the gelato, but get lots of napkins. They need bigger cups...the stuff is delicious, but melts all over the place before you can eat it.
  • They serve Gelato till 1AM on the weekends and have heaters outside in the Winter!
  • Don't compare this place to Paolo's. It doesn't come close.
  • Pay first, then pick out your ice cream! (This confused me for a second!)
  • Yummy, I love the desserts
  • Each sandwich comes with lemony zuppa di pollo made daily with chickens from next door or a salad of crunchy romaine, arugula, & radicchio dressed with Gio's mom's lemon & olive oil vinaigrette.
  • Di Palma developed his own "Westside Italian bread" - it's crusty, but the interior is both dense & chewy. It's fantastic sandwich bread with enough heft to hold hearty selections.
  • Chicken Parm Sandwich: They've jettisoned bready bakery rolls in favor of crisp flatbread from its own pizza oven. The difference is like night and day, and this sloppy sandwich rules the roost.
  • So many choices! Gelato was amazing
  • The Genovese sandwich is as close to what I've always loved about the delis in Hoboken. It all starts with great bread!
  • You can order paninis as well as the chicken from Gio's.
  • They don't give out samples.
  • BANGIN. I had chicken parm panini. 2 other ppl I was with had diff dishes and theirs was also bangin
  • Espresso Brle may be my single favorite dessert in Atlanta. Biggest thumbs up. If my thumbs were bigger
  • Two words: espresso brle. That is all.
  • Wonderful!
  • Salted caramel. All you need to know
  • Nice totally Italian cafe. Back portion offers gelateria (gelato bar), pastries and coffee. My cream puff was terribly expensive but it was a real quality Italian pastry,
  • For gelato: Go to the register first to pay for your gelato. Once your ticket number is called by the gelato server, tell him/her what you want.
