Foursquare Tips

  • Rather than waiting in line for 20-30 minutes, the seats at the bar are first-come-first-serve... Super score.
  • The fresh squeezed orange juice is great!
  • Excellent service, consistently good local food, always seasonal, always fresh. No fake anything. No 'background' music. Large windows, open feeling.
  • Eve is one of my favorite people in Portland. Ask her about her paintings.
  • Add your own name to the list when you arrive. Waiting for the hostess to do it for you may result in getting bumped back in line. Locals know to add themselves and the hostess follows the list order.
  • Whitebean yam hashbrowns were awesome
  • Be sure to put your name on list, don't wait to be called, or you will be waiting forever. Great food! Service isn't great, it is actually really horrible, but really if you to expect it, food is yum
  • Kitchen slow. Food Meh. Won't be back.
  • Try the Kale And Cauliflower Hash With Eggs -
  • get something with oysters
  • Fresh squeezed red grapefruit juice
  • Live jazz music every Friday evening! The Bijou is well-known as a breakfast spot, but they serve amazing entrees at these evening events.
  • Their tofu scramble is the absolute best, been enjoying it here for over a decade!
  • If you don't hash browns give the home style potatoes a try, they will change your mind!
  • well worth the wait! great Peruvian coffee. the roasted veggie omelet is fantastic!
  • have the seasonal vegetable omelette with white cheddar, a side salad, and baguette.
  • I had the goat cheese and tomato omelette, which was a special of the day, with their house potatoes and a Blackberry muffin. All excellent and the service was superlative.
  • The service was slow, but to be fair the place was PACKED! Order the tomato, basil and feta omelet soooo satisfying and the mocha
  • Delicious breakfast menu! Get the extra buttermilk biscuit, tastes great with the marionberry jam they give you.
  • Their omelet was a bit watery, and the service was on the less friendly side in Portland standard. But still a decent alternative to Mother's Bistro if you don't want to wait in long line.
