  • Easily the best chicken salad I have ever had.
  • Love the bread. Gotta stick with the classic "State Street".
  • The chicken salad is the best, but if you are looking for something different, try the Lady Cafe Special. Either way, get a large and save some for later.
  • Think of what you want to order before you arrive. The place gets busy during lunchtime but it's very fast paced and it's easy to get overwhelmed.
  • Know what you want before you walk in!
  • Really good eggplant parm subs!
  • The chicken salad sandwich is the best I've ever had. I get mine with provolone, pickles, and salt & pepper.
  • Order a large only if you want leftovers for dinner, and then some. You've been warned.
  • Steak and cheese bomb with mayo is bomb! Also, chicken salad sub is the best in Boston.
  • Chicken salad always hits the spot with lettuce, tomato and hots. Delicious :) and the best chicken salad in Boston.
  • Have to add my vote for the chicken salad!!!!
  • Best chicken salad in the city!
  • Best subs fresh and the prices cant get any better.
  • Can't decide? You can't go wrong with the Chicken Salad, the hands-down BEST in the city.
  • If you don't like to be rushed and don't like loud noises, you may want stay away. But the sandwiches are SO GOOD!!
  • State street special is awesome. One of Boston's best places for lunch.
  • Chicken salad with a little hots. A little cheap on the cheese, but still a great deal.
  • Try a chix salad sub with the works, and if the weather is nice bring it over to Long Wharf to people watch. A very good, but cheap, lunch option.
  • Meatball sub yo
  • A good deli sandwich combo (12 sub, chips and drink) for $8.50. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Subs were delicious!
