Austin, TX – Houndstooth Coffee
Coffee obsessives will be able to get their fix when this “beverage-centric” casual spot opens during the first quarter of 2017 at 2823 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. Besides the coffee-focused menu items they will offer Japanese iced coffee and tea, wine, beer and pastries. Look for experimental coffee brews as well.
Las Vegas, NV – Rockin’ Crawfish
It’s not just about the crawfish at this casual eatery as the San Francisco-based operator opens their first local unit and fourth overall at 4023 S. Maryland Parkway. Besides finger-friendly crawfish the menu offers waffle-cut Cajun fries, fried oyster and shrimp boats alongside Dungeness crab and King crab legs.
Liberty, MO – MOD Pizza
In a world where you just can’t have enough fast-casual pizza shops this newcomer will open late October at 1912 Star Drive. Called MOD for “made on demand” their focus is on fresh and guest driven creations. It’s pay-one-price so guests can get crazy with the toppings on a thin-crust platform.
Seattle, WA – China Pie
Ever wonder what happens when east meets west, well Marco Polo would be proud at this Chinese-Italian mash up opening late October at 125 N. 36th. Street. The menu offers dumplings and pizza side-by-side. Dumplings will be served in broth and pizza toppings will have an Asian-twist such as fish sauce.
Baltimore, MD – Citron
Veteran area caterer Charles Levine will open his first brick-and-mortar operation at 2605 Quarry Lake Drive in late November just in time for the holidays. There will be seating for 275 guests within the 10,500 sq. ft. space along with patio and deck space for receptions. The menu will focus on American favorites.
