  • Great vegetarian options! Gallo Pinto is great, salads are amazing, but the empanadas . . . Achiote potato, black bean and cheese . . . riqusima!
  • Flaky, delicious empanadas. Not super quick but worth the wait. Not heavy and doughy like my Nana used to make but I prefer their version!
  • Everything is amazing! From the empanadas, to the drinks, to the, love, love Republica. Great date spot, fun to hang with friends, or grab a quick lunch special during work!
  • Amazing place and incredible flavors. My favorite is The Capitn!

  • How can you pass this place up!? An amazing little, intimate place. With filling a la carte delicacies, alongside reasonably sized dishes at reasonable prices. Great with a foreign beer too!
  • Chicken Mushroom Empanada was delish! They use canola oil to fry if that is useful info. for you. They do have peanut butter in the restaurant as far as allergies.
  • Awesome food and great atmosphere! Was also featured on Diners drive-ins and dives! I had the empanada platter with the jalapenos bean popper and the chicken empanada and both were delicious!
  • Empenadas are flaky and flavorful.
  • El Capitan tastes like Paraguayan empanadas! Highly recommend. Heterei!
  • Tried several empanadas, all were very good. My favorite was the pernil. The dessert one with dates was also good. Green salsa is delicious! Loved the fries, but tostones were bland and dry.
  • Tried the Empanada Platter which comes with two Empanadas, rice, beans, and maduros. I had El Capitan and Republica Chicken. Also had the Dizzy Fig Empanada for dessert. All delicious!!!
  • Excellent food! My wife and I try to eat here every time we are in the downtown area. I would recommend their food anytime.
  • Yucca Fritas, Tostones and Vegan Platter
  • I'm in love with this place. Guava + cheese empanada is bomb, as is the cubana. So good.
  • Save some room for the dessert ones too!
