This weekend, it’ll be a “first” for the Hi Pointe Theater and the Repertory Theater of St. Louis as they both present the same work, “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner.”
The Rep officially opens a main stage version of this production on Friday, January 9th at 8 pm. The story of a young interracial couple who are planning to get married, the play was a breakthrough piece when it first bowed on film in 1967.
The movie stars Spencer Tracy, Sidney Poitier and Katherine Hepburn. Spencer Tracy was gravely ill when the movie was being made, and died just weeks after finishing it. It was the last film of his to be released.
The movie version of “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” begins promptly at 10:30 am. Doors open at The Hi Pointe at 10:00 am. Admission is $5 dollars a person. For parking instructions and more information, click on the link below.
