Renovation After Fire At Lorenzo's

The big pizza chef mural on South Street, who looks across the street from Larry Fein at his violin and around the corner from the Budweiser lizard, has had a piece of plywood over his head since June, ever since fire struck Lorenzo's Pizza, the iconic, late-night pizza shop he represents. Lorenzo's has been shuttered since June 27th because of the heavy fire damage, and since then there has been very little apparent work in getting it back up and serving the drunken masses. But, Naked City reports, crews are finally getting around to gutting and cleaning up the establishment. This past weekend, when the front door was opened to the street, a gutted and partially repaired interior could be seen. Naked City estimates another couple months before the Lorenzo's is up and running again. No official word from Lorenzo's.
