This recipe is courtesy of Tabañero.
- 12 whole chicken wings, no tips
- 2 Tablespoons chopped garlic
- 2 Tablespoons Tabañero hot sauce
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 Tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro
- 3 -4 cups canola oil
- 2 Cups blue cheese dressing
Before you begin, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Heat canola oil in a heavy pot to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Add half the chicken wings to the oil and fry them until they are golden brown and fully cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove oil and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the other half of the wings.
In a saucepan, heat butter, honey, and garlic over medium-low heat.
Add the Tabañero hot sauce, let it bubble up, and then turn off the heat.
Place the wings in an ovenproof dish and pour the hot sauce over the top.
Toss to coat, and then bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
