Josh Mazza of the Gilroy in NYC created Halloween cocktails that both use dry ice – giving each an added element of spookiness perfect for upcoming Halloween festivities! Whether you decide to use dry ice or regular ice, the smoky flavor profile of The Black Grouse is perfect for those chilly October nights.
2 oz. Black Grouse Blended Scotch Whiskey
½ oz. Black Walnut Syrup*
2 dashes Apple Bitters
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled. Pour over fresh ice into large Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a smoking Cassia Bark stick.

½ oz. Black Walnut Leaves
½ oz. Kola Nut
½ oz. Star Anise
Combine Ingredients in a dry pan and toast over low heat. Add to 32oz of cold water and bring slowly to a boil. Add 32 oz. of granulated sugar and stir until clear. Cool rapidly then fortify with 2 oz. of grain alcohol. Strain.
