- 1 Ounce dark or semisweet chocolate
- 1 Tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 Cup milk
- 2 Tablespoons superfine sugar
- 1 pinch sea salt
Over low heat in a small saucepan, combine chocolate, cocoa powder, and half of the milk. Stir continuously with a whisk until chocolate is completely melted. Add remaining milk and pinch of sea salt. Gently simmer over medium-low heat until warmed through. Stir in superfine sugar to taste.
Pour hot chocolate into a mug and top with whipped cream or chocolate covered marshmallows. Garnish with a small peppermint candy cane. Serves 1.
