Mardi Gras Mambo Cocktail

Get in the Mardi Gras spirit with this festive cocktail, served at Arnaud's French 75 Bar in New Orleans. The garnish is a King Cake Baby, which is a NOLA tradition.


For the blackberry condensed milk:

  • One 8-ounce can of condensed milk
  • 4 ounces whole milk
  • 8 blackberries

For the cocktail:

  • 1 ½ ounces Cabana Cachaça
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • ½ agave nectar
  • ½ ounce blackberry condensed milk
  • Crushed ice
  • Dash of Peychaud's Bitters
  • King Cake Baby, for garnish


For the blackberry condensed milk:

Pour the condensed milk and whole milk into a pan, add blackberries and muddle. Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Strain and cool.

For the cocktail:

Shake the first four ingredients together in a shaker and strain into a glass with crushed ice. Top with a dash of Peychaud's Bitters, and garnish with a King Cake baby.
