Cherry Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

Enjoy a healthy morning treat with this layered bowl of chocolaty, berry goodness

What is a smoothie bowl? Although they may seem similar to a smoothie, they are actually quite unique. A smoothie bowl generally has a thicker ice cream-like consistency and can easily hold all your favorite toppings.

This is one of my favorite breakfasts of all time. Every ingredient is considered a super food (yes, even the raw cacao powder), so you can enjoy your fruity and chocolaty breakfast without any guilt and still be full until lunch. You can even slip in a handful of kale or spinach to add some greens into your day without actually tasting it! 

Ingredients

  • 1 Frozen banana
  • 1/2 Cup Frozen cherries
  • 1 Tablespoon Raw cacao powder
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Almond butter
  • 1/3 Cup Almond milk
  • 1/3 Cup Frozen blueberries
  • Optional Handfuls of kale or spinach

Directions

Blend all ingredients together. Eat by itself or add your favorite toppings!
