Buffalo Chicken and Waffle Bites

Game day snacks for Super Bowl festivities

  • 1 1/2 Cup Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix
  • 3/4 Cups water
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 24 frozen crispy popcorn chicken bites, cooked to package directions
  • Buffalo wing sauce
  • Ranch dressing
  • Blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 green onion, chopped


Heat and lightly grease waffle iron.

Stir waffle mix, water, egg and oil together with a wire whisk until smooth. Let batter stand 2 minutes.

Pour about 1 tablespoon of batter onto the corner of each quadrant of the waffle iron, to create mini waffle bites.

Cook waffles 2-3 minutes until golden brown (or follow waffle iron manufacturer’s cooking instructions).

Place waffles on a plate. In a bowl, toss the chicken in buffalo wing sauce, until fully coated.

Place one chicken bite on top of each mini waffle and top with a drizzle of ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onion.

Use a toothpick to secure, if desired.
