  • The black sesame ice cream is delicious! OISHII!
  • They have vegetarian ramen! And it's really tasty.
  • Hipster Ramen - The food was good, but overpriced (especially the ramen). The wait was long, the service was slow, BUT the drinks were awesome. Would I come back? Probably not.
  • Come here for drinks, but head to San Mateo for ramen.
  • Vegetarian Ramen is on the list of 21 best noodle bowls by San Francisco Magazine
  • Soup and salted-egg are awesome. Very delicate. Noodle doesn't seem authentic ramen noodle, which is a bit disappointing, but overall, great stuff! Try Miso or Tantanmen as well!
  • Tasty Ramen but the restaurant itself feels only half-authentic, and prices are a bit high. If you are just in it for the Ramen, you can get it elsewhere way cheaper and with a more "Japanese" feel.
  • Donburi bowl = win.
  • Go early to avoid the wait. The ramen is all good but the shining star was the asparagus share plate. And cocktails.
  • Veggie Miso... Holy goodness
  • Easily in the top 3 of ramen places in the Bay. You know they are serious about noodles when you see the Tampopo poster in the restroom. First ever vegetarian ramen I actually liked!
  • the vegetarian ramen was delicious-rich broth, great noodles. also, the black sesame ice cream sandwich is one of the best desserts I've had in a while. perfect balance of sweet and savory. so good.
  • Vegetarian Ramen
  • Tried a bunch of the bowls, all really great. Best ramen I've had! Get some cocktails and the pickle plate too.
  • It was all right. Pricey for what it is. It's a place to try at least once.
  • Mind the wait which is long. Get a drink and wait at the bar area. Must have the squid fried rice, better than the ramen which is way too salty.
  • Unique ramen (e.g. Meyer lemon, burnt miso) from a Chez Panisse alum that has been drawing enthusiasts from all over since its opening.
  • Veggie Shoyu Meyer Lemon is similar to Afuri's Yuzu Shio Ramen in Tokyo
  • Get the lemon, verbena, cucumber Popsicle. Great fresh ending to a savory meal.
  • Shio ramen with Manila clams, spit roasted chashu, dhoti-marinated egg, scallions, and Mendocino nori
