Tips
- The smoked knockwurst ($9 for a quarter pound and $17 for a half pound) is "haus made" pork-belly sausage dressed with plum and celery jam, chips, fennel and dill mayo, roasted broccoli and mustard.
- The Knockwurst is MONEY
- Now open, former Vie standouts Nathan Sears and Adam Hebert are hoping to raise the level of Bavarian dining and beer in Logan Square.
- Get the Haus Pretzel, it's incredible!
- Excellent food, excellent drink, excellent service. Get a pretzel, some sausages, and a radler and experience bliss.
- Do the Underberg
- The dinner menu is divided into two parts: "The Best," featuring seasonal dishes like veal schnitzel, braised rabbit and German onion pie; and "The Wurst," of which one plate is an immediate standout.
- Try to park on Fullerton Avenue.
- Food is wonderful! Smoked pork belly!
- If you can't decide on a beer, go with Aventinus.
- The drafts are delicious!
- get a Glug & a pretzel!
- Not your typical German spot-but what is typical in Logan Square? Try the Pretzel and the Rabbit dish!
- At the least, get a liter of beer and a haus pretzel. It'll be as RAD as it gets. (See what I did there?)
- Great beer and fun hammer/nail game!
- The pretzels with jam are delicious.
- Cozy space with lots of bar seating and long wooden picnic tables. Pretzals, beer cheese and mustards lived up to the hype. Not much of a beer drinker, but nice tidy selection of cocktails.
- Sounds clich, but they are serious about their German beer list and sausages.
- Wednesday nights they got trivia at 8pm and it's quite popular. Also hard AF. They also got $4 40's of Miller Highlife. Hammerschlagen after.
- The beer is amazing definitely try one of the drafts.
