Tips
- Try the beef with chili. Wok-charred beef is tossed w/ kafir lime leaves & green beans, then bathed in a orange-tinted sauce of turmeric & Thai chilies. Its one of our #100best dishes & drinks 2011.
- Try Sukhothai pork noodle soup ($7 lunch, $9 dinner). "Sweet slices of roasted pork are nestled amongst crunchy long beans and crumbles of ground pork, the dish is lavishly topped with cracklings."
- One of the better Thai restaurants on this stretch of Ninth Avenue. Crab and pork with stir fried noodles is the signature dish, well worth ordering on a first visit.
- Try the Thai Ice Tea
- Come for the friendly waitresses, atrocious music, and delicious food. The rare turmeric beef dish is wonderfully spicy.
- I lived in thailand, so trust me, the noodles here are legit.
- The baby back ribs are good enough to be your last meal if you ever end up on death row
- Voted Best Thai in Midtown Lunch's 2011 Reader's Poll.
- This place Rock ;-) love egg noodle with roast pork and crab meat !!!! Like was had in Thailand ;-)))))
- Best Pad Ke Mao I've ever had. Great service, strange but cool music. Of all the places on 9th ave, this is my favorite.
- The duck noodle soup is a delicious, not spicy option, as are the slightly sweet, slightly chewy pork and crab dry noodles.
- Cheap Thai in Hell's Kitchen. Go for the ratchaburi crab and pork dry noodle and if you want it spicy just ask!
- Definitely go for the Ratchaburi Crab & Pork Dry Noodle with a Thai Iced Tea to wash it down.
- Really polite help though I found the Pad Thai to be a bit bland.
- Thai ice tea is cute
- Not sure if i will remember this spot for the great food ( had the spicy beef salad, iced coffee, and crab & pork dry noodles) or the awfully peculiar thai pop they play.
- Get the Pa-Yao Beef Noodle Soup, the broth has no msg and it's good. It doesn't leave your mouth thirsty. You can ask for more broth if you have 60-70% noodles left.
- Friendly service, good prices, amazing food! Awesome Thai music and old movie posters too.
- Pure Thai cookhouse is really worth visiting. Their handmade egg noodles (w/ crab meat) are the best I had this winter. They will change your opinion about thai curry puffs. Also, ice tea!
