Tips
- Try a more faithful rendition of pad thai here: banana leaves topped with tangles of pork-fat-rendered rice noodles, tasty dried shrimp, preserved radish, sour tamarind and crunchy peanuts.
- wow. yeah. this place has got good thai. can't believe I waited a year to try it. kuaytiaw khua kai is delish and not too filling.
- Try the water, seriously it's delicious.
- Wings are stellar (I like spicy) but also order khao man som tum, which you can always take home if you can't finish!
- From Thrillist: "Each piece of poultry perfection is marinated in fish sauce & palm sugar, deep-fried, then tossed in garlic and caramelized Phu Quoc fish sauce."
- Pandanus? More like panda anus. Actually more like water used to wash rice.
- What?!? No more wings...
- Pok Pok Phat Thai already tastes like the grown up answer to sickly sweet Thai noodles that we've been waiting for.
- Forget gloopy delivery pad thai. Portlands Andy Ricker has perfected the noodle dishwhich comes five ways herein a tiny, skinny-tabled space.
- Can we stop talking about the wings and start glorifying the crepes with the cuttlefish? Seriously jump on that dish immediately but not before a dusting on sugar, hot spice, and fish sauce.
- Ike's Wings are perfectly crispy, with an extraordinary balance of sweet and spiciness. No order is complete without the vinegars. On your second visit, ask for the Khao Man Som Tam.
- Caution: opens at 5:00pm! No daytime wings for you!
- Delicious, no nonsense thai/Chinese street food
- Kuaytiaw khua Kai. Trust me.
- One Carrot says this is the "best Thai on the planet." You're welcome.
- Even if you're not vegan, unless you love things that reek and taste of fish, get the vegan one. Wrap it in egg omelet ($2) if you really miss the egg.
- The chili powder is actually quite spicy. Adding a few teaspoons to your Pad Thai yields mouth melting levels of burn.
- NO MORE WINGS! They took them off the menu last month.
- No more wings :( they just changed their menu in September
- Ike's Wings are legit!
