Foursquare Tips

  • While dining at this Southeast Asian restaurant may not be a relaxed experience, one can take comfort in the fact that the food lives up to the hype.
  • NYs new Pok Pok is even better than the West Coast original. The wait-time for a taste of garlicky muu kham waan & incendiary duck laap can be interminable. Bangkok, though, is a 25-hr flight away.
  • If you show up at 6, you can usually be seated right away. And hang out with a lot of pregnant ladies and babies. Early dinners FTW
  • Don't be a hero. Make more than one trip. You can't finish everything on the menu in one sitting.
  • Don't order the legendary wings or the restaurants namesake papaya salad. Those dishes, after all, are available at Pok Pok Wing. Instead, order any of the uncommon Thai dishes on the extensive menu:
  • If you don't get the pork neck, you're doing it wrong.
  • Dishes include the grilled Chiang Mai sausage with chili paste, the charcoal-grilled hen and the clay pot-baked white prawns. If you go on a weekend, or when the weather is nice, be prepared to wait.
  • Just order everything. If you have to choose, get the pork neck, papaya salad and pork belly curry. And lots of beerlao!
  • Great food, shit location
  • BEST Thai Chicken wings...had it with Chang Beer last night and it was PERFECT!..finished w/ Ice cream sandwich & Durian Custard! now That's authentic Thai meal!! I miss home!
  • ALL YOU CAN DRINK PANDANUS WATER
  • Chiang Mai sausage = a must order.
  • Holy mango rice dessert! SO YUM
  • Wings. Pork neck. Papaya salad. Catfish. Laotian dark beer. All winners; One of the best meals I've ever had :)
  • Expect a long line
  • Pok Pok Phat Thai starts slinging noodles, and cocktails in its new Brooklyn home today. Delivery service will begin next week. Fri, 10/24.
  • The pork neck is the best thai dish I've ever eaten.
  • Must try the Kai Yaang half chicken. Dipping sauces are amazing too.
  • Skip the cauliflower and chicken, def get wings. Tip the bartender.
  • Everything is fabulous, but we loved the pork neck. Get the whiskey sour. Arrive just before they open or be prepared to wait.
