Tips
- Only place I've ever heard of who wanted to be delisted from Zagat because of their ranking. After eating there, I side with them, not Zagat!
- Cod filling pumpkin ravioli!
- The avocado & pine nut salad is amazing
- IMO, this is the BEST Italian restaurant in LA. We did the tasting menu (ask for it - it wasn't on the menu) with wine pairing, and it was heaven in our mouths!
- Unbelievable Italian food, easy parking and it will cost you. Be prepared to wait for your table but you should get a free glass of wine for it.
- The worst service and hostess named Roberta -- condescending when I said we didn't have a rez. Told us 10-15 for outside. We waited for 50 min & eventually gave up. She didn't apologize or care.
- The Yellow tail. Just do it.
- Tasting menu!
- The staff speaks Italian?! Vatican royalty would feel right at home!
- Parking is easy, drive to the beach on Rose Ave and boom your at the lot
- Stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised by a REaLLY good restaurant. The Carabonara is reaaly good as was the soup of the day but the Lamb took the cake. Love the servers as well.
- It's true-the first time I ate at Piccolo it made it into my top 5 meals ever, world-wide. I dream about.... fresh made pasta w/truffles & truffle oil, filet mignon in red wine reduction sauce...
- It was a Beat Generation hangout, with the likes of Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg hanging out there. Today, the old Venice West Cafe it closed in 1966 is home to Piccolo.
- Hazelnut gnocchi, squid ink pasta, semifriddo
- Very expensive but very good!
- Lamb carpaccio
- we had scallops, tortelli and a couple of desserts. mind blown. phenomenal.
- Delicious and authentic Italian dishes.
- A very nice restaurant close to our hotel in Venice. Excellent risotto, and carbonara. Note; The olive oil served to the bread is outstanding, has a strength of pepper and a taste of green apple.
- overpriced and overrated. there are better restaurants out there!
