  • Salem residents get in free!
  • America's oldest continuously running art museum. Lots of American art, folk art, maritime art, as well as a great poster collection, and the famous Chinese House. Rotating exhibits seasonally.
  • Take in over 250,000 ft of gallery space showcasing everything from contemporary art to ancient relics. Our fave? The Yin Yu Tang House, a 19th century Chinese home relocated right inside the museum!
  • PEM is the place to come for enjoyment, enrichment, sharing with family and friends, and creative stimulation.

  • 552 original documents pertaining to the Salem witch trials of 1692 have been preserved and are still stored by the Peabody Essex Museum.

  • Unbelievable Dutch and Flemish art exhibit - make sure to grab a magnifying glass on the way in! And the Chinese House is definitely worth the extra $5!!!
